If you look at a photo of Will Smith playing an NES (or this radical kid) and think "that's the 90s for u lol!", you grew up in the mid-to-late 90s and are trying to identify with 80s culture for some unknown reason.

The NES came out in fucking 1985. Although it's peak was probably '87-'90, it is culturally an 80s product. It doesn't matter if you personally played the NES in the 90s.

Like, image some kid who grew up in the 2000s looking at a Polaroid of some kid playing a N64 and saying, "Lol! That's the 2000s for you!"

That's what it's like. That's what it's like, you miserable 90s children. The NES is no more 90s culture than the N64 is 2000s culture.
